🏀 Girls Basketball C-Team Lady Pilgrims Drop Heartbreaker at Marian The Plymouth Lady Pilgrims C Team battled to the final buzzer Saturday afternoon but came up just short in a 32–29 loss at Mishawaka Marian. Plymouth set the tone early with outstanding defensive intensity, holding the Knights to just one point in the first quarter and taking a 13–7 lead into halftime. After Marian made a push coming out of the break, the Lady Pilgrims responded with a strong third quarter to regain momentum before the game came down to the final seconds. Miel Ramirez led Plymouth with 11 points, while Anna Ogle and Olivia Collins each added 6 points in the tightly contested matchup. ⸻ Lady Pilgrims Face Ranked Warsaw The Plymouth Lady Pilgrims hosted sixth-ranked Warsaw on Friday night and faced a tough challenge against the Lady Tigers, falling 80–17. Warsaw’s pressure, speed, and physicality created multiple transition opportunities, and the Tigers also shot efficiently from beyond the arc. Despite the result, Chloe Horton continued her strong play, leading Plymouth with 15 points, including four three-pointers. The Lady Pilgrims will look to respond quickly as they return to action Tuesday night on the road at John Glenn. ⸻ 🤼 Wrestling Boys Wrestling Competes at Tom Cameron Tournament The Plymouth Boys Wrestling team competed Saturday at the Tom Cameron Tournament hosted by Merrillville High School, finishing 6th overall in a competitive six-team field. The Rockies showed continued growth and resilience throughout the day, highlighted by Jesse Allmon, who posted a strong 4–1 record at 132 pounds. Despite facing tough competition, Plymouth battled through every match with determination and effort. The coaching staff praised the team’s attitude and perseverance, emphasizing the importance of continuing to compete and improve through challenges. The Rockies return to action Thursday at home against Triton at 6:30 PM. ⸻ Lady Rockies Place Third at Tom Cameron Tournament The Plymouth Lady Rockies turned in an outstanding performance Saturday at the Tom Cameron Tournament, finishing 3rd overall in a strong six-team field. Plymouth posted a 3–2 team record on the day and improved to 8–2 on the season. The Lady Rockies were led by Angel Smith and Caroline Balica, who both went undefeated, along with strong efforts from Jaden Eskew, Kassie Souders, Chloe Carlton, and Teyah Barnhart, each finishing 4–1. The team showcased depth, resilience, and continued growth throughout the tournament. ⸻ 🏊 Swimming & Diving Pilgrims Shine at Wawasee Invitational The Plymouth High School Girls and Boys Swimming & Diving teams delivered strong performances Saturday at the Wawasee Invitational. The Lady Pilgrims finished 4th overall, while the Pilgrims earned a 3rd-place finish in a competitive field. Both squads demonstrated excellent effort throughout the meet, highlighted by multiple personal records and several heat victories. Standout swims came from Ryleigh Schadek, Dylan Rupert, Maia Danforth, and Kane Beatty, among others. Coaches praised the athletes for their continued improvement and work ethic, noting that the results reflect the daily commitment being made in practice. Plymouth continues to show steady growth as the season progresses.
